Marcus Sharp

Marcus "Marc" William Sharp, age 25, of Andrews, NC passed away Sunday, May 17, 2015.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of Mike and Paula Silvers Sharp of Andrews, NC.

Marc worked as a logger, in which he loved and he never considered it work and worked for Bateman Trucking. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Marc loved helping people. He enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Marc loved life. He had friends from children to the elderly. Marc thought about others before himself; he had a generous heart. He also loved his dogs, Rascal, Bud and Tigger and other animals he had. Marc was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his brother, Michael Brandon Sharp; maternal grandparents, Harley and Shirley Silvers and paternal grandparents, Lewin and Cleo Sharp.

In addition to his parents he was survived by a number of aunts, uncles, cousins and very special friends he considered family.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, May 21, 2015 at the Townson Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Dana Dockery will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Justin Hensley, Jordan Hensley, Jeff Gibby, Tyler Wilson, Tony Sharp, Matthew Wood, Nic Gibson and Colby Dooley. Honorary pallbearers will be Corey Silvers, Lucas Wilson, Adam Hardin, Matt Moss, Jamie Smith, Jake Lovingood, Cody Luther, Dustin Chance and Adrian Sharp.

The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.
