Hortensia-Billie Michelsen

Hortensia-Billie Michelsen, age 96 of Murphy, NC passed away Thursday, March 14, 2024. She was the daughter of the late William and Marie Witt Pohle.

Hortensia-Billie was a homemaker of her own home. She liked doing ceramics, going to thrift stores, decorating her house, and taking care of the lawn. She was a member of Ranger Baptist Church and loved going to church.

In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, George Henry Michelsen; sisters, Ellsa Townley, and Rosemary Pohle.

Surviving is her son, George Michelson and wife, Lynn; a daughter, Margaret Kaw; and a grandson, Scott Michelson.



Funeral services will be announced at a later date.
