Eula Ann Nelson

Eula Ann Hardin Nelson, age 97 of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, March 9, 2026.

She was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Jack and Eunice Hardin. Eula retired as a postal clerk for the US Postal Office. She enjoyed watching Jeopardy and playing with her grandchildren. Eula also enjoyed working word search and crossword puzzles. She was a member of Topton Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Nelson; one son, Jimmy Nelson; one daughter, Janice Carver; one brother, Ralph Hardin; one sister, Virginia Webb and four grandsons, Dwayne Nelson, David Nelson, Darren Nelson and Jeremy Carver.

She is survived by one step granddaughter, one great grandson, and great great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held at 1 pm, Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Kenny White will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 1 pm, Friday, March 13, 2026 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
