Dorothy Maxine Sneed Mayberry

Dorothy Maxine Sneed Mayberry, 69, of Murphy passed away Saturday, March 28, 2026. She had worked in Manufacturing (Textile). She was the daughter of the late Homer and Dorothy Nix Sneed. Dorothy had graduated from Roseman High School in California. She loved all kinds of animals, especially dogs, watching AKC, kennel club competition, traveling, and going on cruises. Dorothy loved her church family, and the military people who served and protected this country. She was a member of the 7th Day Adventist Church in Murphy, NC.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles James Mayberry; and a brother, Samuel Sneed.

Surviving Dorothy are two sisters, Lecia Myers (Joseph), and Leslie Laney; and nieces and nephews, Kathrine Means, Joseph Wright, Angela Turner, Christopher Painter, Matthew Painter, and Jordon Bush.
