Nancy Pamela Gunnels

Nancy Pamela Luther Gunnels, age 66 of Andrews, NC passed away Wednesday, May 20, 2026.

She was born in Andrews, NC to the late Gaines and Opal Yates Luther. Nancy worked at Coats American as a single winder. She enjoyed spending time with her family. Nancy was a great homemaker and loved cooking. She was a member of Valley River Baptist Church.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter, Misty Gunnels; and one brother, Donald Ray Luther.

She is survived by her husband of 46 years, Alvin Gunnels of Andrews; one son, Scott Gunnels of Andrews; one brother, Ronald Luther (Betty) of Andrews; four nieces, Donna Hass, Teresa Luther, Christel Clark and Michell Higdon; great nieces and nephews, DJ and Isaac Mock, Brittney Luther, Drew DeHart, Alexis Hass, Kaden and Carley Clark, Mackenzie Rogers and Addison Higdon; and many great great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Bo Phillips will officiate. Burial will be in the Valley River Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Cody, Derrick, Lucas and Bryan Luther, Kaden Clark and Rance Rogers.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm, Sunday, May 24, 2026 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
