Joseph Bell Woolrich

Joseph Bell Woolrich, 75, of Hayesville, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, June 2, 2026. He was born in San Francisco to the late John Francis Woolrich and Frances Charlotte Bell Woolrich.

Joseph was a talented automotive mechanic who owned his own business in San Diego, California. Twenty years ago, he made Hayesville his home after moving from St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands. He found great joy in fly fishing, cooking, and spending time with his family. He especially cherished the companionship of his beloved yellow Lab, Storm.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, John, Bob, and Frank Woolrich.

He is lovingly remembered by his wife of 37 years, Carina Woolrich; his son Lance Woolrich and wife, Chelsea, his son Joey Woolrich, his daughter, Jennifer Joyce, his brothers, Harry Woolrich and wife, Michelle, Mike Woolrich and wife, Rae Ann, Gary Woolrich and wife, Jean, and Jerry Woolrich and wife, Anna, his sister, Carol Bateman, his sisters-in-law, Betsy and Wendy; as well as seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
