Joshua Logan Rhodes

Joshua “Josh” Logan Rhodes, age 30 of Murphy, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026.

Josh was born in Blairsville, GA to William “Billy” Lee and Tammy Measmer Rhodes. He worked as a paint and body specialist at Rhodes Paint and Body in Murphy. Josh’s love of his life was his daughter, Addely. He enjoyed fishing and hunting, working on old cars, playing baseball and basketball. Josh loved his nieces and nephews. He especially enjoyed hanging out with his brother, Jake, and friends. Josh was an avid Dale Earnhardt Nascar fan. He was a member of Wilscott Baptist Church in Murphy.

He is preceded in death by his grandfather, James Wesley Measmer, Jr.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by his daughter, Addely Rhodes; his brother, Jake Rhodes (Ashley); his sisters, Brittany Newton (Bronson), Hannah Williamson (Hunter) and Gracie Rhodes; his nieces, Emma Newton and Thea Rhodes; his nephews, Grayson Newton, Landon Rhodes and his nephew, baby on the way, Hudson Williamson; his maternal grandmother, Granny Jo Measmer; his paternal grandparents, Mary Green and Tony Rhodes; and many aunts and uncles.

A funeral service will be held at 6pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy with Rev. Billy Rhodes and Rev. Bobby Lovingood officiating. Music will be provided by Amy Crisp.

The family will receive friends from 4pm to 6pm on Friday, June 19, 2026 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy prior to the funeral service.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
