Kimberly C. Loudermilk

Kimberly C. Loudermilk, age 65 of Murphy, NC passed away Monday, June 29, 2026.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of Ervin Jones of Murphy, NC and the late Barbara Brooks Jones. Kim retired from the Cherokee County Public Schools with 30 years of service. After retirement, Kim went to work for the North Carolina Virtual Public School online in 2011 and up until present time. She enjoyed reading, walking, and especially spending time with her family and friends. Kim was of the Christian faith. She enjoyed serving the Lord, encouraging and helping others in their walk with the Lord.

In addition to her mother, she was preceded in death by her brother, Kent Jones.

In addition to her father, she is survived by two sons, Dalan Loudermilk and Benjamin Loudermilk (Belzu); two sisters, Debbie Howard (RL) and Lisa Dickey (Tim); one grandson on the way, Yona Loudermilk; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Tim Dickey and Rev. Calvin Murphy will officiate. Burial will be in the Flax Creek Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Carson Taylor, Avery Taylor, Brett Rice, Bentley Taylor, Tanner Taylor and Luke Morrow.

The family will receive friends from 10am to 12pm on Wednesday, July 1, 2026 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home prior to the service.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Flax Creek Cemetery, c/o Nancy Woodward, 1285 Sunny Point Road, Murphy, NC 28906.
