Justin Tyler Evans

Justin Tyler Evans, 34, of Asheville passed away Sunday, July 5, 2026.

He was the son of Louis and Carrie Martin and the late Victor Evans. Justin was preceded in death by grandparents, Ralph and Angela Green.

He loved riding his motorcycle, being outdoors and anything having to do with nature. Justin was passionate about his recovery and being a peer Support Specialist. He enjoyed being with family and friends, quick to make friends and never met a stranger. Justin also enjoyed going to the dirt track to watch his cousin race. His dream and passion was to open a Recovery here in Murphy, with just a little more time, he would have fulfilled his dream.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by grandparents, Johnny and Kay Martin; daughters, Angel Evans and Analeise Laurendine; brother, Anthony Evans; and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, July 8, 2026 in the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Kenny Taylor and Rev. Ronnie Crisp officiating. Music will be provided by Peggy Graham. Burial will be in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery on Hwy 294. Graveside services will be conducted by Kelly Bowling. Pallbearers will be Jared Cheeks, Cooper Twiggs, Operation Gate Way, and Footprints Recovery, pallbearers and honorary pallbearers.

The family will receive friends from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm Wednesday, July 8, 2026 prior to the services.
