Robert Lee Bruce Sr.

Robert Lee Bruce, Sr, age 92 of Andrews, NC passed away Monday, August 24, 2026.

He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late Everett and Bonnie Forest Bruce. He retired from Baker Furniture with 28 years of service as a saw operator. Robert also retired from the Andrews Fire and Rescue. He was a member of the Andrews Lions Club and helped serve in the Andrews Food Bank. Robert was always helping others in their time of need. He was a member of New Life Church of God in Andrews, NC.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one nephew, Eddie Holloway.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Edna Holloway Bruce; one son, RL Bruce, Jr (Melody) of Andrews, NC; one daughter, Jennifer of Robbinsville and her two children; one brother, Ronnie Bruce (Charlotte) of Ohio; two sisters, Helen Beaver and Elouise Dockery both of Hayesville, NC; four grandchildren, Dealan, Eliam, Ezra and Leilah Bruce of Andrews, NC; and two nieces, Mary Elrod and Lou Holloway.

No services are planned at this time.
