Benjamin D. Crawford

Benjamin D. Crawford, age 74 of Andrews, NC passed away Monday, October 5, 2026.

Benjamin dedicated his career as a heavy equipment operator for the Town of Andrews, where he was known not only for his skill but also for his unwavering commitment to the community he loved. He found joy in the simple pleasures of life, spending his free time fishing, hunting, and boating, and cherished moments of leisure with friends and family.

A member of Calvary Baptist Church, Benjamin found great comfort and strength in his faith. He had a nurturing spirit, and his grandchildren will fondly remember him as a wonderful "Pa".

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Grace Simond Crawford; and one son, Jackie Ray Anderson.

He is survived by his children, Benjamin Brian Crawford, Steven David Crawford, Jill Crawford Thlbault and Edye Kremer; one brother, Phillip Crawford (Rosa); one sister, Sally Chastain (Charlie); two grandchildren, Alexander and Owen Kremer; and three great grandchildren, Asher and Bentley Hendrix and Micha Langley.

An inurnment service will be held at a later date at Valleytown Cemetery.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
