Daniel Michael Jones

Daniel Michael Jones, age 73 of Andrews, passed away on Monday, October 12, 2026.

Daniel was born in Gastonia, NC to the late Onlie and Eularae Brooks Jones. He had worked as a truck driver. Daniel enjoyed fishing, frying tators, camping, gardening, canning, busting firewood and scraping his driveway. He admired black Peterbilts and driving trucks. He especially loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Jane Barwick; his son, Shannon Jones; and his sister, Linda Stewart.

He is survived by his sons, Christopher Jones (Jennifer) and Edward Jones; his daughter, Marcie Daniels; his brother, James Jones; his sister, Elva Fuller; his grandchildren, Lucas Jones, Brad Jones, Shawn Jones, Lauren Jones, Annabelle Jones, Caroline Jones, Devon Daniels, Christina Jenkins, Dalton Daniels and Waylon Daniels; and his great grandchildren, one on the way; and his adopted great grandchildren, Luca and Archer.

A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Friday, October 16, 2026 at Santeetlah Baptist Church in Robbinsville with Pastor Jimmy Millsaps and Pastor Mark Stewart officiating. Burial will be in Santeetlah Cemetery in Robbinsville. Pallbearers will be Brad Jones, Lucas Jones, Gary Jones, Devon Daniels, Frank Jones, Colby Jones and Robert Wolfe.

The family will receive friends from 1pm to 2pm at the church prior to the funeral service.
