Thelma Lorene Akin Anderson, age 93, of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, May 1, 2016 at her residence.
She was a native of Trezevant, TN but lived most of her life in Clermont, FL before moving to Murphy several years ago. She was a daughter of the late Neal Cleveland and Lillian Lorene Lunday Akin. While living in Florida Thelma had worked as a fruit grader. Thelma was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Franklin Anderson; a brother, Willard Akin and a son, Jack R. Anderson.
She is survived by one son, Jimmie Anderson of St. Marks. FL; two daughters: Frankie Cornwell and husband Charles of Murphy and Elaine Helson and husband Dennis of Clermont, FL; five grandchildren and several great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be at 1 PM, Wednesday, May 4, 2016 at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate.
