Charles Lewis Lloyd, age 74 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, June 8, 2016 at his residence.
He was born in Clay County, NC to the late Pauline Nicely. Charles was a US Air Force veteran; he served in the Vietnam War. He worked for MGM Brakes and Outboard Motors. Charles was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by his step-dad, J.T. Nicely, Sr. and brother, Jerry Lloyd.
He is survived by his wife, Edith Lloyd; two daughters, Ebony Waller and Heather Lloyd Leak; one brother, J.T. Nicely, Jr; three grandchildren, Cheyann Leak, Madelyn Waller and Amara Leak; and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside Services will be held at 11 AM, Saturday, June 11, 2016 at the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens in the Peachtree community. Military honors will be conducted by the V.F.W. Post #10222, Joe Miller Elkin American Legion Post #96 and D.A.V. Chapter #73 and American Legion Post #532 of Hayesville and V.F.W. Post #6812 Hayesville.
