Richard Franklin Dockery, age 81 of Murphy, NC passed away Thursday, June 9, 2016 at Murphy Medical Center Nursing Home.
He was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Ralph and Ida Evelyn Coleman Dockery. Richard was a US Army Veteran and self-employed. He loved deer hunting and fishing. Richard was a member and former Sunday school teacher of Grape Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by several cousins. Frank will be lovingly remembered by his family, Dorothy Dockery, Doris Smith, Joyce English and husband Jim, Wanda Dockery and husband Maxey, Ruth Dockery and husband Mark and Mary Murphy and husband David; 11 grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
In Remembrance of Frank, a gathering of family and friends will be held Saturday, June 11, 2016 from 4-6 PM at the Grape Creek Baptist Church.
