Obituary for Roy Walter Langner Jr.

Roy Walter Langner Jr. passed away at age 63 on July 17th, 2016 at St. Joseph’s Hospital.

He was born in Greenville, SC on December 25th, 1952. He lived in Germany and Augusta, GA before graduating from Georgia State University. He moved to Andrews, NC in 1978. He was a general manager at local restaurants for 20 years before working at Harrah’s Casino in Cherokee, NC. He retired from Harrah’s and his position of Manager of the Diamond Lounge in 2013.

He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Walter Langer Sr. and his brother, Tomm P. Langner.

He is survived by his mother, Norma Langner, his children, Paden Langner, Jessie Karageanes, Brittany Karageanes, as well as 5 grandchildren. He was a wonderful son, father, and friend, who will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A memorial service will be held at 3 PM, Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Episcopal Church-The Messiah in Murphy.
