Obituary for Charles (CH) Henry Adams

Charles Henry (CH) Adams, age 74, of Chuckey, Tennessee passed away Thursday, September 1, 2016 in the James H. Quillen VA Medical Center in Johnson City, TN.

He was a native of Cherokee County, NC and the son of the late RG and Edna Elizabeth Whitaker Adams. CH was a retired Veteran from the US Army Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was a lumber inspector for a furniture factory. He loved his family and especially his nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephews. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and riding motorcycles.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by siblings, Lee Adams, Jean Padgett and Ruth Calloway.

He is survived by one brother, Kenneth Adams of Blairsville, GA; four sisters, Pearl Adams Warren and her husband Cecil, Dot Derreberry and her husband Austin, Mabelle Cooper all of Andrews, NC and Edna Blackman and her husband Billy of Myrtle Beach, SC; several nieces, nephews, great nieces and nephews.

Funeral Services will be held at 3:00 PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Townson Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC. Rev. Roger Derreberry will officiate. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery with military rites conducted by the Andrews VFW Post 7620. Pallbearers will be Mike Derreberry, Will Wright, Sam Warren, Jason Derreberry, Junior Warren and Danny Derreberry. Honorary Pallbearers will be Daniel Warren and Aaron Warren.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 PM to 2:45 PM Sunday, September 4, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews, NC.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Amercian Cancer Society, 120 Executive Part Bldg. 1, Asheville, NC 28801 or the Gideons Bible International, PO Box 140800, Nashville, TN. 37214.
