Astilee M. Ledford, age 94, of Hayesville, NC passed away Monday, November 7, 2016 in Hiawassee, GA.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Clay County, NC and the daughter of the late Luther F. and Liza McClure Ledford. Astilee was a homemaker. She enjoyed gardening, canning flowers and crafts. Astilee was a member of the Mission Hill Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by three sisters, Pauline Ledford, Zelpha Davenport and Opal Burrell; and two grandchildren, Judy Matheson and Melissa Patterson.
She is survived by two daughters, Roberta Patterson and husband Morris of Hayesville, NC and Louise Hooper of Hiawassee, GA; one sister, Loujean Davenport of Hayesville; two grandchildren, Scotty Hopper and James Patterson; and three great-grandchildren, Benjamin Patterson, Jonah Matheson and Gail Tipton.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday, November 10, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Wayne Matheson and Rev. Darryl Rose will officiate. Music will be provided by the Davenport Brothers. Burial will be in the Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jonah Matheson, Daniel Davenport, James Patterson, Derrick Davenport, Justin Davenport and Ernie Davenport.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 PM, Wednesday, November 9, 2016 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
