Obituary for Wallace Monroe Rogers

On January 9, 2018 our beloved daddy, Wallace Monroe Rogers of Vengence Creek Road in Marble, NC closed his eyes in death and opened them to be with the Lord.

He was born December 11, 1926 in Cherokee County. He was the son of the late Floyd and Maude Sneed Rogers. Wallace was a World War II veteran and served in the Philippines as a Military Police Officer. He retired from Parker & Reichman Farms in Andrews where he was a truck driver. Wallace was of the Baptist faith and a member of the Old Vengeance Creek Baptist Church.

Mr. Rogers was survived by one daughter, Rita Rogers Rife and husband David of Marble; one son, Phillip Crawford and wife Rosa of Andrews; one brother, Edward J. Rogers and wife Mary Ruth of Marble; one sister Nell Rogers Hembree of Peachtree; four grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, friends and acquaintances.

A memorial service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev. Fred Lunsford and Pastor Clark Moss will officiate.

The family will receive friends from 12-1 pm, Saturday, January 13, 2018 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC.
