Betty Jeanne West, age 78 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at her residence.
She was born in Clay County, NC to the late Wayne and Edrie Mae Trull Edwards. Betty was a computer operator for Southern Engineering Company. She was a member of Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Billy West; they would have been married 57 years and two weeks before his death; one infant son, Roger Dale West; and two brothers, Jerry and Noel Edwards.
She is survived by her special cat, Lucy; son, Jeff West and wife Kim; daughter, Jeannie Rokovitz and husband Russ; brother, Harry Edwards and wife Loretta; sister, Martha Ann Boyer and husband Charles; sister-in-law, Louise Edwards; one grandson, Corey DeAgro; one great-grandchild, Emma Marie-Rose DeAgro; special nieces, Patricia Matthews and Beth Cambranis.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church. Her great-nephew, Caleb Matthews and Pastor Harold Stiles will officiate. Burial will be in the Moss Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Howard Coffey, Bob Barton, Carl Palmer, Franklin Barnett, Charles West and Tommy Trull.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm, Saturday, October 13, 2018 at Peachtree Memorial Baptist Church.
