James Fulton Worsham, Jr., age 78 of Murphy, NC passed away on Monday, September 28, 2020.
He was born in Knox County, TN to the late James and Betty Dawson Worsham. James was an electrician with Union Commercial and Residential. He was an Air Force veteran; he served in Special Forces. James was a firefighter and firefighter of the year for several years, an EMT, 50-year electrician, a 33 Degree Mason and a Shriner. He loved to make people laugh. James loved his kids, grandkids, and great grandkids.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon Worsham; two sons, Larry James Worsham and Lonnie McCoy Brevik and wife Christine; one daughter, Lori Lynn Atkinson; 16 grandchildren; and 13 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held at 2 pm, Friday, October 2, 2020 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Steve Ware will be officiating. Burial will be in the Macedonia Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Danny Clayton, Barry Clayton, Freddy Conley, William Kyrder, Cliff Lucht and Bobby Blair. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Manfield and Tony Graham.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm - 2 pm on Friday, October 2, 2020 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home.
