Harold Edward Allen, age 74 of Murphy, NC passed away Saturday, October 17, 2020.
He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC. He was the son of the late Marion and Ivalee Allen. He worked for and retired from MGM Brakes. He loved to collect antiques and spend his Saturday’s at the flea market. He loved to serve the Lord and of all the other roles he held, he loved being “papaw” to his granddaughter most.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of forty years, Shirley Allen; and a brother, Junior Allen.
He is survived by his daughter, Lindsey Pertet and husband William; one granddaughter, Kinsley Pertet; a sister, Helen Abernathy; and many nieces and nephews.
To honor his wishes, there will be no visitation or service, but rather an immediate burial at Old Fashioned Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that you would do something kind for someone else as he often chose to do.
