Ossie Mae Jones, age 83 of Young Harris, GA passed away on Friday, November 6, 2020.
She was born to the late Major and Dora Shuler Grant. Ossie was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Vernon Jones; brother Sylvan Grant; and sisters, Ruby McClure, Donnie Anderson and Louise Payne.
She is survived by two sons, Kenneth Jones and William Jones; two brothers, John Grant and David Grant; one sister Dorothy Vandiver; one grandson Michael Jones; great grandchildren, Kaydence Jones and Brandon Jones; special niece Linda Floyd; and other nieces and nephews.
A funeral service will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy, NC. Rev John Grant will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Blairsville, GA. Pallbearers will be Jason Hall, Michael Jones, Robert Spiva, Ryan Hadas, Chad Gibson and Brandon Anderson.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm - 2 pm, Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
