Hiliary Gunter, 68, passed away Tuesday, June 22, 2021. She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. She had worked as a spooler in thread manufacturing.
She was the daughter of the late Vernie Hartness, Jr. and Mary Pendergrass Hartness. She was also preceded in death by a son, Jeremy Lee Gunter.
Surviving are a son, Joseph Gunter of Murphy; a daughter, Tia Rose Ayres and husband, Steven of Murphy; two brothers, Michael Hartness , and Tex Hartness and wife, Cheryl all of Murphy; and two grandsons, Alexander Ayres, and Derrik Ayers both of Murphy.
No services are planned at this time.
