Obituary for Wallace B Davis

Wallace B. Davis, age 87 of Andrews, passed away on September 6, 2021 in Erlanger at Murphy Hospital.

Wallace was born to the late F.L. Davis and Bessie Hall Davis on July 18, 1934 in Andrews, NC. He had graduated at Andrews High School, Class of 1953. Wallace proudly served the U.S. Army from 1955-1958 as a communications specialists. He was a deacon and life long member of Mountain View Church, and had also worked at Berkshire until it closed and then retired from Emerson Electric. Wallace had attended Tri County Community College with studies in carpentry and cabinet making. He loved to garden, fish, sing and play his guitar. He loved all sports, his church and his family.

He is preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Eunice Hedden Davis; brother Herbert Davis; and sisters Francis Ussery and Reva Burnthorn.

He is survived by his children, Sandy Solesbee (Kenneth), Ricky Davis and Jamie Davis (Kelly); a sister Shirley Bingham of Gastonia, NC; grandchildren, Keyton Davis, Wayne Davis, Tyler and Delaney Hilton, Hailey Ratliffe and Gabby Ratliffe; and great grandchild Adalynn Ratliffe.

The family will receive friends from 2pm-3:30pm on Sunday, September 12, 2021 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. A Graveside Service will be held immediately following visitation at Valleytown Cemetery in Andrews. Rev. Jesse Adams and Rev. Eddie Hardin will officiate. Pallbearers will be grandsons and nephews.
