Shirley McClure, age 54 of Murphy, was found on Tuesday, January 11, 2022.
Shirley was the daughter of Lillie Lou Brown McClure and the late Jerry Norton McClure. She was a native and
lifelong resident of Cherokee County. Shirley was a CNA and loved helping people, especially her family and friends; she was selfless and never met a stranger. Her children were the number one thing in her life but she also loved her dog, Dixie. She was very outgoing and was a hard worker. Shirley had a contagious laugh and loved making other people laugh.
In addition to her mother, she is survived by her son, Jeremiah Lloyd; a daughter, Mycah Lloyd and one brother, Johnny McClure.
A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday at 1pm, January 15, 2022 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Music will be conducted by Diane Parker and James Hughes. Burial will be at Mt. Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jeremiah Lloyd, Gage Sneed, Michael Crawford, James Hughes, Michael Conard and Austin Dockery. Honorary pallbearers are Mitchell Lloyd and Johnny McClure.
The family will receive friends from 11am-1pm on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made towards funeral expenses.
