Jean Morrow Panter, age 88 of Murphy, passed away on Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
Jean was born in Cherokee County to the late James and Minnie Pearl Panter. She was a homemaker and lived in Cherokee County most of her life. Jean loved to shark fish when she lived in Jacksonville and had won a trophy for the largest shark caught in 1978.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her brother, James Alfred Morrow, Jr; and her sisters, Mozelle King, Mildred Teague and Ruth Rayfield.
She is survived by her son, Rickie Lee Panter; two granddaughters, Kirsta Lashell Lamb and Nicole Leann Sneed; and three great grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 1pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Ralph Barnard will officiate. Burial will be at Greenlawn Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends from 12pm - 1pm on Saturday, July 9, 2022 prior to the funeral service.
