Larry William Dockery, age 71 of Murphy, passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2022.
Larry was born in Cherokee County to the late Goldman and Maebell Carter Dockery. He was a factory furniture builder. Larry loved working on his tractor, boating with his family and loved tinkering on anything that needed to be fixed.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his son, Scott Dockery and infant son Eddie Dockery.
He is survived by his wife, Diane Dockery; his son, Jeffery Dockery and wife Kristin; his daughter, Autumn Carr and husband Eric; his brother, Paul Dockery and wife Ellen; and his grandchildren, Paityn, Cameron, Gavin, Kaitlyn and Dakota; and two nieces, Paula and Lisa.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022 at Ebenezer Baptist Church. Pastor Kenneth Dockery will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenezer Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Wayne Dockery, Charles Carter, Max Shipman, Gavin Fennell, Michael Carter and Trevis Sneed.
The family will receive friends from 2pm to 3pm on Sunday, September 18, 2022 prior to the funeral service.
