Obituary for Herman Hardin

Herman Hardin of Cherokee County peacefully went home to be with the Lord Nov 10th, 2022 at the age of 83 following a period of declining health.

Herman was preceded in death by his mother and father, Richard and Winnie Hardin; a baby brother, Milo; sisters Carlene Jones, Dean Moffitt and Hazel Dills.

Herman is survived by his best friend the past 42 years, his loving wife Susie Hardin; sons: Herman Jr, Tim, Tracy, Ricky and Michael Hardin; daughters, Cindy (Rick) Gass, Kris Hardin, Dawn Jones Wig (Donnie), and Amy Jones Raymond (Rob); his sisters, Stella Gray and husband Gary and Sue Viau and husband Bob; 13 grandchildren, Tiffany, Tabitha, Cody, Brandy, Taylor, Kali, Katie, Angelina, Ava, Carleigh, Autumn, Hunter and Gus; five great grandchildren, Klover, Max, Sophie, Caroline and Jaxton; and many nieces and nephews.

Herman served 3 years to his country in the Army. He worked construction with West Contracting then with Phillips and Jordan before working for and retiring from the State.

Herman will be greatly missed by his large family and his friends. He had a heart of gold and a smile that would light up any room. “We wish everyone could have a Dad like ours”.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, November 13, 2022 at Grace Fellowship Baptist Church with Rev. Eddie Hardin and Rev. Jack Hollowell officiating.
