Obituary for Ruth Ann Lands

Ruth Ann Lands, age 83 of Hayesville, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday, December 5, 2022.

Ruth was born in Clay County to the late Ernie and Faye Ledford Patterson. She was a homemaker. Ruth loved God, her family and spending time with her grandkids and great grandkids. She also loved crafts, gardening, canning, teaching Sunday School at Downings Creek Baptist and VBS. Ruth will be dearly missed.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Lands; her mother in law, Artie Lands; her brothers, Nevis Patterson and Frank Patterson; and her grandchild, Justin Chance.

Ruth is survived by her children, Charles Lands and wife Sandra, Carol Ann Storey and husband James, Tommy Lands and wife Tonia and Tony Lands and wife Gail; her grandchildren, Julie Hamler and husband Andrew, Jeremy Lands and wife Nicole, Amanda Duvall and husband Donovan, Stephanie Anderson, Heather Rogers and husband Dylan, Hannah Bowers and husband Drew, Lauren Curtis and husband Dylan, Cordell Lands and wife Brandie and Haley Jones and husband Justin; her great grandchildren, Gavin, Sapphire, Crissy, Christopher, Nathanyal, Bryleigh, Aldyn, Autumn Truhan and husband Dylan, Megan Hogsed and husband Dawson, Breanna Davenport, Brayden Anderson, Taytum Lands, Luke, Mason and Banks Bowers, Kynlee Rogers and expecting great grandchild, Addilyn Curtis; her great great grandchildren, Harrison Truhan, Bentley Hogsed, Elaina Davenport; and niece Debra Patterson, nephew Keith Patterson and great niece Stacy Kenyon.

A funeral service will be held at 11am on Thursday, December 8, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Dallas Crowder and Rev. Aud Brown will officiate. Cordell Lands and Bronson Kirby will conduct music. Burial will be in Oak Forest United Methodist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Dylan Rogers, Dylan Curtis, Dylan Truhan, Drew Bowers, Cordell Lands, Jeremy Lands, Donovan Duvall, Dawson Hogsed, Andrew Hamler and Brayden Anderson.

The family will receive friends from 6pm to 8pm on Wednesday, December 7, 2022 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
