Gwendolyn (Gwen) Kincaid, age 61 of Murphy, NC passed away Sunday, September 28, 2014 at a care center in Asheville, NC.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter of late Harvey and Sadie Kincaid. She was a 1972 graduate of Murphy High School. Gwen worked for Murphy Med and Good Shepherd. Gwen was a member of Fort Hembree Baptist Church.
Surviving her son, Derek Kincaid of Murphy, NC; nephew, Lamont Kincaid of Reno, Nevada; neice, Lovonza of Alabama; one aunt, Hazel Smith of Tampa, Florida; and a host of cousins and friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at 3 PM, Saturday, October 11, 2014 at the Texana Community Center. Elder Thelina Turner will officiate.
