Laura Rae Bass, age 71 of Murphy, NC passed away Wednesday, July 9, 2025.
She was born in Englewood, Colorado to the late Lowell and Marlene Havens Stewart. Laura worked as a Medical Assistant in Home Health Care. She enjoyed sewing, cooking and baking. Laura loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Geams Bass; one son, Jesse Bass of Colorado; two daughters, Jennifer Bass of Colorado and Bonny Bass of Murphy, NC; one brother, Kayne Stewart of Florida; one sister, Cyd Reynolds of Colorado; eight grandchildren, Levi, Meeka, Kevin, Maya, Jada, Liko, Gaven and Ashlie; and four great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, July 19, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Calvin Murphy will officiate. Burial will be held in the Veterans Memorial Cemetery of Western Colorado in Grand Junction, CO.
