Obituary for Cody Lee Elkins

Cody Lee Elkins, age 32, of Hayesville, NC passed away Wednesday, July 16, 2025.

He was born in Murphy, NC to Monica Elkins of Hayesville, NC. Cody enjoyed singing, skateboarding, and playing the guitar. He was a member of Mountain of Faith Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his brother, James Campbell, Jr., and his maternal grandfather, Harold Elkins.

In addition to his mother, Monica Elkins (Joshua McConnell) of Hayesville, NC, he is survived by his best friend and wife, Terra Elkins; grandma, Diane Elkins, and one niece, Skyleigh Campbell.

Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, July 22, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Pastor Tim Jones will officiate. Burial will be in the Shooting Creek Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jamey Johnson, Chris Hamilton, Johnathan Coronado, Tony Patterson, John Henderson, Jacob Henderson and Randy Long.

The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Monday, July 21, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
