Wendell Ray (Worm) Wooten, 51, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022. He was the son of the late Oliver and Allie Jones Wooten. Wendell worked at Snap-On Tools. He loved to hunt and fish, the outdoors, and to cook. Wendell was a member of the McCleland Cove Baptist Church in Andrews.
Surviving is a sister, Robin Reynolds and husband, Tom; a niece, Keisha Borden and husband, Sean, nephews, Colton Newton and wife, Monika, and Cory Carringer; great niece, Paisley Borden; many aunts, uncles, and cousins; and multiple family members and friends that he loved.
Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm Sunday, September 04, 2022 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews with Pastor Mickey Stewart and Pastor Jeremiah Wike officiating. Interment will be in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Robert Fulford, James (Tiger) McClean, Tracy (Wolf) Hardin, Jimmy Messer, Adam Cross, and Whitney Burnette. Honorary pallbearers will be Tim Hardin and Johnny Coleman.
The family will receive friends from 1:00-3:00 pm Sunday, September 04, 2022 prior to the services at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
