Betty Smith Nicely, age 70 of Andrews, passed away on Sunday, December 31, 2023.
Betty was born in Andrews to the late Kermit and Dedie Penland Lewis. She had worked in the home health care field. Betty enjoyed her grandchildren, cooking and taking care of her family.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her first husband, Tom Smith; her second husband, Allen Nicely; her brothers, Morris Penland, Carol Penland and Bobby Lewis; and her sister, Virginia Mckinney.
She is survived by her sons, Tyrone Smith (Sharman Mashburn) and Brent Smith (Jenifer); her daughter, Quesse Smith (Clay Wiggins); her stepchildren, Ryan Nicely and Tina Nicely; her grandchildren, Kendric Smith, Lexie Smith, Princess Stiles, Celie Smith, Jayceon Wiggins, Daisy Smith, Joseph Smith and Tyler Dills; her step grandchildren, Abbie and Eli Conley and Maddie Wiggins; her great grandchildren, Aiden Smith, Braylan King and Amir Smith; her special cousins, Mary Pickens and Sheila Robinson; and special friends Heather, John, and Kathy Pirecy.
A funeral service will be held at 2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Charlsie Sweat and Rev. Eurial Turner will officiate. Burial will be in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Tim Mckinney, Marcus Teams, Jake Smith, Benny Smith, Paul Smith and Chris Crisp. Honorary pallbearers will be her grandsons.
The family will receive friends from 12pm to 2pm on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
