David Amos Robinson, 93, of Andrews passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024. He was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County. He was the son of the late James C. and Sally Grindstaff Robinson. Amos was a veteran of the United States Army. He then worked for many years as a brick mason and finished the last seventeen years of his working career at Clifton Precision.
Amos was a member of McCelland Grove Baptist Church where he was a Deacon and Sunday School teacher.
In addition to his parents, Amos was preceded in death by his wife, Patsy Day Robinson and ten of his eleven siblings: Juanita, Lemma, Louise, Frances, Dorothy, Jane, Claude, Lloyd, Bobby and Andy.
Surviving are his son David Robinson (Barbara), daughter Vickie Brown (Richard), two granddaughters; Jennifer Caldwell (Dickie) and Andrea McCoy (Heath), one grandson; Jacob Ledford, two great grandchildren; Ryan McCoy and Wyndsor Caldwell, and one brother; Clarence Robinson (Mary), along with several nieces and nephews.
Amos was a man of few words, but was a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. He was very strong in his faith.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Sunday, December 1, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Andrews Chapel with Pastor Chuck Davis officiating. Burial will be in Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Heath McCoy, Ryan McCoy, Jacob Ledford, Dickie Caldwell, Richard Brown, and Glen Parker.
The family will receive friends from 1:00pm – 2:00pm Sunday, December 1, 2024 prior to the service.
