Leon J. Martin was born March 20, 1951 in Clay County North Carolina where he spent his life till he passed on July 20, 2022 at 71 years old.
Leon was the son of Thomas and Pearl Grooms Martin. Leon spent most of his life operating heavy equipment and enjoyed spending his free time outdoors hunting and fishing.
In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by 3 sisters.
He is survived by his wife Burnett Ledford Martin. Two siblings, Llyod Martin
and Norma Martin Brown. Four children, Lisa Martin, Jeff Martin, Amanda Martin Ledford, and Joshua Martin. Five grandchildren, Austin Martin, Victoria Ledford, Devin Jones, Kessie Ledford, and Brandy Ledford. One great grandchild Hazel Cable.
Memorial services will be held at 2 pm, Saturday July 23, 2022 at Oak View Baptist Church of Hayesville. Pastor Steve Cothren will officiate.
