Jeffrey "Jeff" Lockett, 52, of Murphy passed away Tuesday, May 2, 2023. He was a lead well driller at Byers Well Drilling and had served in the United States Army. Jeff loved being with his family, he was known to embarrass his children by blasting music in the school pick up line. He loved anything to do with camping, spending time on the lake, and enjoyed riding his motorcycle. Jeff loved family time.
Jeff was preceded in death by his mother, Jessie Carol Rye Ibanez; and a son, Christopher James Lockett.
Surviving is his father, Jerry Ibanez; sons, Tyler Jeffrey Lockett, and Dustin Aaron White; daughters, Ashley Rose Lockett, Ashlee Elizabeth Sills, and Jessica Michelle Sills; and sisters, Heather, Angie, and LeeAnn.
A memorial service will be held at 3:00 pm, Sunday, May 7, 2023 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home, Murphy with speaker Lon Dillard officiating.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm Sunday, May 7, 2023 prior to the services.
