Obituary for Joyce Lane Shuler

Joyce Lane Shuler, age 60 of Andrews, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025.

Joyce was the daughter of the late Lonnie Claude Lane and Genie Mae Rattler. She was born in Andrews but was a member of Grace Tabernacle Road in Robbinsville, NC where she attended and graduated at the top of her class. A natural seamstress, Joyce was employed at Lee Clothing. She was a member of Grace TBN Baptist Church. Her greatest achievement was her daughter, Karissa. Joyce also owned and operated her own construction company with her late husband. She opened her home and her heart to many of the people she cared about as well as those she didn't. There wasn't anyone left in the cold. Joyce was a beacon of light for those lost in the dark.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Wayne Shuler; her nephew, Dusty Lane; her uncle, Paul Lane and her brother.

She is survived by her only daughter, Karissa Jones; her sister by choice, Charity Sampson of Cherokee, NC; her brothers, Benji Lane, Billy Lane, Jeffery Lane, Marty Lane, Allen Lane, all of Robbinsville; her several nieces and nephews; and her one granddaughter, Raynel Mae of Andrews, NC.
