Gaitha McGaha, age 71 of Andrews, NC passed away Friday, January 27, 2023.
She was born in Swain County, NC and the daughter of the late Grady McGaha and Ruth Morrison McGaha of Andrews, NC. Gaitha liked fishing and camping. She enjoyed socializing and was able to interact with anyone. Gaitha participated in the community work of Andrews. She was a party line enthusiast and enjoyed music. Gaitha was a member of Beaver Creek Baptist Church.
In addition to her mother, Ruth McGaha, she is survived by two brothers, Jimmy McGaha (Doris) and Michael McGaha (Mary Evelyn); one sister, Freda Coffey; one Aunt, Cora Lee Taylor; nieces and nephews, Teresa, Elizabeth, Lily, Linda Sue, Alex, Jimmy, Eddie, Marion, Michael, Mitchell, Tasha and Ashley; and great nieces, great nephews, great great nieces and great great nephews, Mitchell, Hunter, Zach, Ryan, Stephanie, Justin, Tilya, Dorian, Grady, Maddison, Emily, Zoe, Emma, Clyde, Kylie, Colt, Gemma, Greyson, Haley, Emma, Michael and Stephen.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Aud Brown and Ricky Taylor will officiate. Music will be provided by Ricky Taylor and Marion Morgan. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be nephews, Jimmy, Eddie, Marion, Michael, Mitchell, Justin, Hunter, Mitchell, Zach, Ryan, Dorian and Grady. Rev. Aaron Smith will conduct graveside service.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2 pm, Monday, January 30, 2023 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
