Obituary for Martha Alice Davis

Martha Alice Davis, age 81 of Andrews, NC went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 7, 2025 after a brief illness.

Martha grew up in Graham County, NC but had lived most of her adult life in Andrews. She was preceded in death by her mother, Bessie Holloway of Robbinsville, NC.

For many years, Martha was a very active member of Valleytown Baptist Church. She worked at VF Jeanswear for years where she made many life-long friends. Martha enjoyed sewing and knitting. Martha loved gospel music and worshipping the Lord.

Martha is survived by her friends, Jerry Phillips (Susan), Brent Shuler (Angie) and their children, Dillan Phillips (Locklie), Logan and Bradan Shuler, Cory Snider (Brittany and their son, Carsan Snider, Jerry White (Ann) and family, Angela Grindstaff, Imogene “Imer” Phillips, and Joe Gibson and family. Funeral services will be held at 3 pm, Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews. Rev. Chuck Davis will officiate. Music will be provided by Cindy Davis, Sherry Dailey, Angela Grindstaff and Kenneth Payne. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jerry Phillips, Corey Snider, Brent Shuler, Dillan Phillips, Dennis Wilson and Jerry White. Honorary pallbearers will be Logan and Bradan Shuler, and Carsan Snider.

The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 3 pm, Tuesday, May 13, 2025 at the Townson-Rose Chapel in Andrews.
