Lawrence "Buddy" Oliver Shadix, age 61 of Murphy, passed away on Friday, April 19, 2024.
Buddy was born in Cherokee County to the late Lawrence and Elizabeth Jane Patterson. He enjoyed gardening, especially preserving heirloom seeds. Buddy also enjoyed riding his Harley and driving 18 wheelers. He loved spending time with his family. Buddy was a member of New Martins Creek Baptist Church.
He is survived by his sons, Casey, Dustin and Rushie Shadix; his daughter, Jessica Shadix (Jeremy); and his grandchildren, Karson Shadix and Terry and Wraylan Robinson.
A graveside service will be held at 12pm on Wednesday, April 24, 2024 at New Martins Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Stuart Nichols officiating. Pallbearers will be Kenny Phillips, Adrian Ball, Dustin Shadix, Jesse Myers, Jay Arnold and Steve Beasley.
