Donald Patterson, age 75 of Hayesville, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, March 20, 2024.
He loved hunting, fishing, camping and digging for ginseng. Donald was a heavy equipment operator.
He is preceded in death by his mother and father, Hazel and Earnest Patterson; his son, Donald Tracy Patterson; his brothers, Buster, Zeb and James Ray Patterson; his sisters, Diane, Alwayne and Jimmie Lou.
He is survived by his long-life partner of 43 years, Linda Burch Metcalf; his daughter, Melinda Wilson; his sister, Norma Jean Davenport and husband Daniel; his seven grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
A funeral service will be held at 3pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Hayesville. Pastor Curt Ledford and Pastor Gary Ashe will officiate. Burial will be in Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Stanley Patterson, Kevin Patterson, Corey Ledford, Harold Dean Parker, Jeremy Parker, Curt Ledford and special cousin, Stanley Patterson.
The family will receive friends from 1pm to 3pm on Tuesday, March 26, 2024 at Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Hayesville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to Union Hill Baptist Church Cemetery Fund in Hayesville.
