Ray Parker, age 49 of Hayesville, NC passed away Friday, March 22, 2024.
He was born in Cumberland County, NC to Leon Carl and Kathy Timpson Parker of Hayesville, NC. Ray was a chef. He owned and operated his own restaurant in Chicago, Illinois known as Real Comfort. Ray loved to cook. He also enjoyed reading, golfing and loved history. Ray was a member of Shiloh Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by his adopted sister, Stephanie Hall of Blairsville, GA.
Funeral Service will be held at 2 pm, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville. Rev. Eddie Duckworth will officiate. Musick will be provided by Steven Lyvers. Burial will be in the Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Bert Timpson, Jay Carpenter, Cameron Carpenter, Sam Guglielmo, Donnie Deuel, Jeremy Harburn and Andy Ingle. Honorary pallbearer will be Paul Deuel.
The family will receive friends from 12 pm to 2 pm, Monday, March 25, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel of Hayesville.
