Amanda Hope Watkins, age 37, of Marble, NC passed away Wednesday, March 13, 2024 after an extended illness.
She was a native and lifelong resident of Cherokee County, NC and the daughter to Bobby and Connie Palmer Watkins of Marble, NC. Amanda attended Tri County Community College and was a member of Rowland Hill Baptist Church in Marble, NC.
She was preceded in death by her infant daughter, Brianna Shae Guffey; maternal grandparents, J.C. and Mary Jane Palmer; and paternal grandparents, Harold and Polly Watkins.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her husband, Tony Guffey of Marble; one son, Kole Watkins of Marble; mother-in-law, Sharon Guffey of Andrews; stepdaughter, Deetta Taylor (Chris) of Bryson City, NC; and several aunts and uncles.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 am, Saturday, March 16, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Rev. Ronnie Palmer will officiate. Burial will be in the Derreberry Cemetery in Marble. Pallbearers will be Coy Watkins, Chris Guffey, Matthew Guffey, Michael Guffey, Brandon Garland and Darrell Watkins. Honorary pallbearers will be Connor Waldroup, Raylynn Waldroup and Hunter Head.
The family will receive friends from 6 pm to 8 pm, Friday, March 15, 2024 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy.
