Obituary for Steven Lee Kilpatrick

Steven Lee Kilpatrick, age 68 of Hayesville, NC passed away Wednesday, September 24, 2025.

He was born in Cherokee County, NC to the late Ernest Adelbert and Mary Jo Collins Kilpatrick. Steven worked as a carpenter and a truck driver in the construction industry. Steven was an outdoors person; he loved fishing and hunting. He loved music, storytelling and was an avid animal lover, especially dogs and cats. Steven was a member of Murphy Second Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Audrey Jenkins.

He is survived by one brother, Jerry Kilpatrick (Marjorie) and two nephews, Daniel Kilpatrick and Joseph Cloer.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 1 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2025 at Murphy Second Baptist Church. Rev. Ralph Barnard will officiate.

Townson-Rose Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
