Mary Morrow, age 96 of Andrews, NC passed away Sunday, May 8, 2016.
She was a native of Cherokee County and the daughter of the late John Pitt and Della Love Phillips. Mary was a devoted wife, loving mother and cherished grandmother. She worked as a knitter helper for Berkshire Knitting Mill and a component assembler for Clifton Precision. Mary loved her family.
Going home on Mother's Day was her blessing for she was a mother-figure to many. Mary was always true to her faith touching many lives in Sunday school, UMW "Love Circle" and as UMY Youth Leader for almost 30 years.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, William Carlyle Morrow; brothers, Hilton, John, Max, Bernard and Mark Phillips and sisters, Lucille Love Phillips and Alba Phillips Bugg.
She is survived by her daughter, Evelyn Marie Hadlock of Athens, GA; son, Steven Ray Morrow of Andrews, NC; granddaughters, Donna West Marlow (William, Jr) and Michelle Weineke-West(Ellen).
Funeral Services will be held at 2 PM, Thursday May 12, 2016 at the Andrews United Methodist Church. Rev. Mary Brown will officiate. Burial will be in the Valleytown Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Roy Mashburn, Whitney Burnette, Johnny Brown, Jackie Ledford, Maurice West, Jr. and Philip Rogers.
The family will receive friends from 1-2 PM, Thursday, May 12, 2016 at the Andrews United Methodist Church.
