Obituary for Charles Christopher McCoy

Charles "Chris" McCoy, age 51 of Murphy, passed away Monday, July 11, 2016 at his home. He was a native of Cherokee County, NC. Chris loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed wood carving and had a real talent to draw. He attended Rowland Hill Baptist Church in Marble, NC.

Chris was the son of Tim and Barbara Farmer McCoy of Murphy, NC.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by wife, Jujuan Earley McCoy, daughter, Shay McCoy; brother, Jeff McCoy and wife Trisha; sisters, Felicia Maney and Tammy Harding and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, July 14, 2016 at 11am at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy. Pastor Matt Mull will officiate. Burial will follow in Unaka Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Thursday, July 14, 2016 from 10-11am at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home Chapel in Murphy.
