Betty Elizabeth Sudderth, age 71 of Hayesville, NC passed away Monday, August 16, 2021.
She was born in Hayesville, NC to the late Oliver and Margie Ruth Powell Sudderth. Betty loved singing, reading her Bible and was a devout Christian. She enjoyed writing poems and songs. Betty also enjoyed helping others and especially spending time with her family. She was a US Marine veteran.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Billy and Steven Sudderth, and two nieces, Monica Stiles and Shannon Sudderth.
She is survived by her children, Marjorie Nicely of Conyers, GA, Jeremy Sudderth and wife Cynthia of Murphy, NC and Bradley Sudderth of Conyers, GA; one nephew, Jermel Sudderth; two sisters in laws, Janet Sudderth and Sandra Sudderth both of Murphy, NC; grandchildren, Deseantae Sudderth, Devante Sudderth, Tionne Nicely, Saaliyah Sudderth, Tyannah Nicely and Kadeesha Sudderth and two step grandchildren, Eli and Janica Mulkey.
The family will receive family and friends from 1 pm - 3 pm, Saturday, August 21, 2021 at the Townson-Rose Funeral Home in Murphy, NC. Inurnment will follow in Herbert Hills Cemetery in Hayesville, NC.
