Karen Lee Jenkins Adams, age 65 of Otto, NC and Murphy, NC passed away Friday, October 29, 2021.
She was born in Copperhill, TN to the late Hubert and Willie Henson Jenkins. Karen was very talented and creative with many types of crafts, including crocheting and making jewelry. Her happy place was the beach. Karen loved music and loved to sing. She never met a stranger and had a great sense of humor. Karen was very loved and will be missed by all who loved her. She was of the Christian faith and was a member of Hopewell Baptist Church.
She is survived by her brother, Keith Jenkins (Kay); two sisters, Linda Allen (Kenneth) and Sherry Blackwell (Reid); nephews, Johnathan Jenkins, Russell Blackwell, Steven Allen and Jason Allen; niece, Christy Allen; eight great nieces and nephews and special friend, Mark Tyson.
Funeral Services will be held at 2 pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Hopewell Baptist Church in Murphy. Pastor Mark Tyson will officiate. Burial will be in the church cemetery. Pallbearers will be in Keith Allen, Jason Allen, Jonathan Jenkins, Timothy Jenkins and Steven Allen.
The family will receive friends from 1 pm to 2 pm, Tuesday, November 2, 2021 at the Hopewell Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Hopewell Baptist Church or Hopewell Baptist Church Cemetery Fund.
